The International Conference on Materials for Humanity (MH21), a complete virtual conference, was successfully organized during 6-9 July 2021, by Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S). The conference, consisting of 8 plenary lectures, 18 symposia organized into 6 themes, emphased the role of materials innovation and deployment in tackling global challenges in health, climate change and the environment. Over 800 participants from various parts of the world attended the 4-day events. The experience gain in organizing this fully virtual conference is valuable for organizing scientific events in the post-pandemic era.
