Materials Research Meeting (MRM 2027)

The Materials Research Meeting (MRM) is MRS‑J’s flagship international conference series. MRM 2027 is dedicated to the latest advances in materials research at an international level, focusing on interdisciplinary research for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference provides a platform for researchers from academia, industry, and research institutions to exchange knowledge on cutting‑edge materials science and engineering, covering topics such as nanomaterials, energy materials, biomaterials, computational materials science, and advanced manufacturing.

AMRS 2026 The 13th International Conference of the African Materials Research Society 2026

AMRS2026 will draw participants from around the AFRICAN world, with an M.R.S anticipated attendance of 500 people.At its heart, the AMRS series of conferences allows the scientific and research communities to build knowledge,foster relationships and promote action for further understanding and collaborations in the broad fields associated with materials science and technology.

ICRP-12/SPP-44 12th International Conference on Reactive Plasmas 44th Symposium on Plasma Processing

The International Conference on Reactive Plasmas (ICRP) has taken place by the initiative of the Division of Plasma Electronics, the Japan Society of Applied Physics since 1991. The 1st ICRP was held in Nagoya, the 2nd in Yokohama (1994), the 3rd in Nara (1997), and the most recent conference (11th ICRP) in Sendai (2022). Some former ICRPs were held as international joint conferences: the 4th ICRP was with the Gaseous Electronics Conference (GEC) at Maui in 1998, the 5th was with ESCAMPIG at Grenoble (2002), the 7th was with GEC at Paris in 2010, 9th was with GEC at Honolulu in 2015, 10th was with International Conference on Phenomena in Ionized Gases (ICPIG) at Sapporo in 2019, and 11th was with GEC at Sendai in 2022.

 

The Symposium on Plasma Processing (SPP) is a domestic annual Japanese meeting that has been held by the Division of Plasma Electronics since 1984. The joint ICRP and SPP conference aims to gather researchers and engineers, involved in various aspects of reactive plasmas and their applications. The joint conference also aims to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among them within an international framework.

34th International Materials Research Congress (IMRC 2026)

The International Materials Research Congress (IMRC) is the annual flagship conference of the Sociedad Mexicana de Materiales (SMMater), organized in partnership with the Materials Research Society (MRS) since 1991. IMRC 2026 offers an international forum for sharing recent developments in materials science and engineering. The event includes a wide range of topical, multidisciplinary symposia that reflect current research trends and address fundamental and practical challenges related to materials research and associated technologies. The congress maintains a long‑standing tradition of scientific excellence, attracting about 1,900 participants from nearly 45 countries, including researchers from academia, industry, government labs, and research organizations. Global Conference of Innovation Materials 2026 (GCIM 2026) – Annual International Conference and Spring Meeting of MRS‑K

The Global Conference of Innovation Materials 2026 (GCIM 2026) is the annual international conference and spring meeting of the Materials Research Society of Korea (MRS‑K). GCIM 2026 features 16 symposia covering a broad spectrum of materials research, including advanced electronics and semiconductors, energy materials and conversion technologies, biomedical and biointegrated materials, computational and structural materials, and materials for environmental sustainability. IUMRS-ICEM 2026 the International Union of Materials Research Societies The 19th International Conference on Electronic Materials 2026

The International Conference on Electronic Materials (IUMRS-ICEM), initiated in 1988 with its first meetings held in Japan, is one of the flagship conference series of the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS). Taiwan Materials Research Society is a non-governmental organization composed of professionals engaged in materials science and technology. In 1967 (the 56th year of the Republic of China), Dr. Li Cheng-Min, a Chinese scholar studying in the United States, returned to Taiwan to give lectures. Together with Mr. Lu Chih-Hung, former president of National Taiwan University, Mr. Tang Chun-Po, former president of the Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology, and other pioneers, he proposed the establishment of the Chinese Materials Research Society. They invited 24 overseas scholars and 40 domestic scholars to co-initiate the society, which was officially established on September 15, 1968 (the 57th year of the Republic of China). After more than 20 years of development, the society has a total of more than 1,800 members, distributed across countries around the world and all sectors of Taiwan. At present, more than 1,300 members still maintain contact with the society. It is one of the well-organized, long-established and large-scale academic organizations in Taiwan.

The 4th China New Material Industry Development Conference 2023

The Fourth China New Materials Industry Development Conference sponsored by CMRS was held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province on 8-11 Oct. 2023. More than 6,000 participants from university, institutions and companies and 51 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering attended this conference.

This conference has 72 sub-forums, involving key basic materials, advanced energy materials, advanced information materials, biomedical materials, health and comfort materials, environmental engineering materials and safety engineering materials and so on.  The conference also carried out a series of activities, which provided a platform for the researcher, investors and entrepreneurs to exchang their views and needs. It aims to integrate the industry, universities, researchers and funds and discusses how to accelerate new materials’ applications and generate economic benefits for China and the world.

Chinese Materials Conference 2022-2023

Chinese Materials Conference 2022-2023, sponsored by C-MRS, was held in Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center located in Shenzhen City on 7-10 July 2023.

This conference has a total of 77 sub-forums and more than 19,750 researchers of material science and technology, including 57 Chinese academicians and more than 300 foreign scholars (including over 20 overseas academicians) attended.

A total of 6,850 cutting-edge reports were presented and 1,100 wall posters were exhibited. 9,223 paper abstracts were received and 257 articles were published in related journals. At the meantime 297 small academic salons were held.

 

2021 MRS-T International Conference

Materials researchers are invited to attend Materials Research Society-Taiwan (MRS-T) 2021 International Conference (2021 MRSTIC). The virtual conference will provide a platform for international experts and scholars in the field of materials science and engineering to exchange the latest research developments and trends. The scope of the conference includes (but is not limited to) materials’ manufacturing processes, structures, functional properties, identification and characterization, and applications in various fields.

11th International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies (ICMAT) 2023: 26th - 30th June 2023

Encouraged by the success of the International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies (ICMAT) series held since 2001 and the impact it has created among the materials science and engineering research community both in the region and elsewhere, the Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S) will be organizing the 11th edition of the conference series from 26th to 30th June 2023 in Singapore.

The first 10 conferences in this biennial ICMAT series attracted a total of more than 25,000 participants including 28 Nobel Laureates and hundreds of distinguished plenary & keynote speakers, in addition to thousands of invited speakers.

The upcoming conference, with an expected participation of 2,500 delegates, comprises of 31 technical symposia, plenary and theme lectures, special activities, exhibition as well as keynote, invited, oral and poster presentations.

ICMAT 2023 is the premier scientific platform to present research to an interdisciplinary and international audience.
