Organizations and institutions whose mission includes promoting or supporting multi-disciplinary materials research or related activities and outreach are encouraged to seek appointment as Professional Associates of IUMRS.  Such organizations / institutions may be private, academic, commercial, public, or personal.   

Each Professional Associate will receive regular published updates on IUMRS Meetings, Forums, events and publications.  All will be invited to participate with opinions and ideas in occasional consultations centered on current Materials Research achievements, or on developing new programs and governance of IUMRS. Each will be entitled to submit constructive announcements and opinions for inclusion in a “Professional Associates” section of the IUMRS web site. Annual dues for each Associate are currently set at $500.
